Elmorian RPG - Haven Castle - Elzar Rune Circle Found (Session #5)

Discovery of the Elzar Rune Circle

• Descending down into the tomb beneath the ancient temple Tyrael and Ruby found at last Grime Tiffknot casually supervising the sacrifice of several of the Haven townspeople that were dragged away from the attack on the Hunters guild
• They both attacked in force, and Tyrael magic, followed by a spell to detect his attempted invisibility, finally ended Grime and his treachery
• The tomb they found holds 1 of the 7 locations of the "Elzar Rune Circles" which are said to be powerful sources of magic from the days before the great Settling of humans who left Elzar castle.
• Cranabus clearly has been directing sacrifices into this Rune circle and drawing from its power to do a variety of things, such as create the items that Grime wave given, animating the dead, and being able to do other magical manipulations '
• A scroll read by Tyrael declares the names of other contacts Cranabus has perhaps been using in order to bring himself back to physical manifestation through these Runed Circles .

Elmorian RPG - Haven Castle - Kobold Hideout (Session #4)

The Kobold Hideout

• Tracking the large Kobold force to an abandoned temple in the woods, Tyrael and Ruby waited until dark to strike
• The temple entrance was heavily guarded with over 24 Kobolds and a General leading them. Using defensive barricades and patrols the defense was difficult to crack, but after a long evening of battle and luring half the forces out of the temple they succeeded in breaking into the temple. Ruby stealthily attacked from behind in the shadows, while Tyrael unleashed multiple lightning bolts into the main area to break the defense
• The Kobold general fled deeper into the temple during the fight
• Moving through the temple hallways they found goods in a old Rectory area, and some basic supplies in a bedroom.
• Eventually in the north areas they found the kobolds had prepared another blockade using the temples ancient mechanics to flood the area with magma and block the Kobold General's escape again down into the catacombs beneath the temple while other kobolds continue to fight to prevent the 2 adventurers from proceeding
• Throughout the battles Ruby and Tyrael continued to hear the shaman call out to Cranabus Fork when casting and performing dark magic. At one point a shaman successfully struck Ruby with the dark magic doing a lot of damage
• They found some useful potions and items in an ancient brewery area in the temple before finally setting both lever back to the off position to stop the magma flow that was preventing them from accessing the catacombs

Elmorian RPG - Haven Castle - Tracking Kobolds (Session #3)

Tracking the Kobolds

• Moving through the woods Ruby tracked the force of kobolds into the southern forests, but she and Tyrael decided to return to Haven Castle before dark, and also bring Caleb back into the town safely.
• Upon returning to the castle, it was clear that Caleb was the son of a Constable of Haven and considered fairly important. The Black Diamond and many of the castle citizens were now celebrating the two exiles and hope was building that this growing Kobold problem would be solved.
• Talking more with Baric Swifthammer they told him what they found at the Hunters Guild (completely sacked, everyone gone, and Caleb over-hearing that the Kobolds were claiming a sacrifice to Cranabus Fork) Baric was rather horrified to hear this news and told them the tale of 100 years ago that name was one of the Orc warlords bound to a tower by his grandfather and the original Black Diamond guild. He marks about where he thinks the tower is on their map - but points out their patrols do pass by there regularly and have heard nothing about activity or kobolds near there
• Baric also became more angry at Grime and the halflings since all of this started with their arrival - cursing that he would pay for the halflings to be interrogated next
• Samantha took him up on that offer and left when she overheard that
• After more shopping and donating a bottle of wine from the hunters guild to Grumple Tok they headed to rest at the inn
• When there it was clear the inn was busy and full of happy patrons feeling more comfortable that the outlying area is getting safer. 
• Samantha was drinking with the halflings trying to get them to pass out
• A fighter named Farameer approached them about joining them (Tyrael lied telling him to meet them in the south in the morning)
• At one point samantha tried to take PP from Ruby picking her pocket but failed. Ruby drew a sword and demanded she never do that again - Ruby quickly sat down embarrassed and the halflings laughed at her
• Then went to bed and the next morning found Samantha hovering hoping to follow or join them (quite insistent) to which Ruby and Tyrael together bundled her in a net and rope on the inn floor to ensure she could not follow
• Heading north to begin tracking the kobold force that attacked the hunters guild again, they were ambushed by a large kobold force, and shaman. The shaman had a staff that seemed to be able to sacrifice other kobolds for damaging magic. But missed when tried swinging at Tyrael
• The staff turned to dust when Tyrael later tried to retrive it indicating it was one of the items described by Baric that Grime had been bringing into Haven for money
• Following the tracks they finally found something interesting - a huge abandoned temple covered in a landslide. Ruby peering in with her spyglass found it to be filled with a Kobold army of over 20+ Kobolds chanting Cranabus Forks name.
