Searching for the Elmorian Rose
- Continuing on from the forest spot they defeated the poacher at, Tyrael and Ruby headed east to the shoreline watching carefully for caves they've heard the rumors about that may house the Elmorian Rose (cure for Proctor who is Mesco's Moon Rat)
- Reaching the shoreline without incident but also no caves found they found a spot to camp and rested for the evening.
- During the rest Ruby spotted a group of goblins clearly planning an ambush on their camp. The two "played dead" pretending to be asleep until the goblins came close enough. Within moments and the skill of their blades the 2 destroyed the goblin ambush.
- In the morning with no caves found they headed back west to the river that runs past Gobblebrook, following goblin tracks
- Later near the river a group of poachers carrying a kill ran into them. Both groups surprised eachother and attacked. Tyrael and Ruby overcame them and also picked up some of their swords in order to replace the ones they had which were in need of repair.
- Casting floating disc to cross the river, Tyrael carried Ruby over and they begin exploring the forest West of Gobblebrook.
- Traveling along the river north and continuing to search out Goblin tracks, Ruby eventually found one of the local caves.
- This cave was peppered with signs built by goblins with images of the goblins punishing humans clearly in an attempt to scare humans who find this cave away.
- Cautiously entering the cave the 2 explored the north end passageways and found some goblins patrolling. They also found a sealed cavern closed off by portcullis and filled with human bones. In addition a contraption built to raise something over the portcullis and lower it into this cavern. Sneaking past this area and continuing through the tunnels eventually they found what they were seeking
- A large mining cavern opened up in front of them with a troop of goblins mining the cave. Also along with wall Elmorian roses growing!
- An imposing figure of a large orc was also in the cavern. The orc was wearing a fine leather jerkin with the symbol of Gronk the pillager on it. - Which means Gronk's forces are aligned with these local goblins apparently.
- Setting fire to a pile of leaves that was hiding a pressure plate, Ruby created a smoke screen in the caverns covering their movements as they got into position to attack. The orc and goblins began to fan out looking for intruders and they both attacked.
- Tyrael ripped his lighting magic through the room destroying the Orc Raider and several Goblins. A few moments later using their blades and moving quickly through the smoke the 2 of them decimated the goblin troop in the room, and scooped up some of the Elmorian roses, along with some loot in the goblin and orc pouches. They also picked up the Orc's very fine Ax
- Deeper in the cave. Ruby also spotted what appeared to be a large blacksmith chamber, with a human allied with these goblins inside sharpening a hunters blade. Also stacks of weapons being forged in the area. They suspect the human could be the rumored "Silvan" who recently was accused in Gobblebrook of organizing the poachers into a group for robberies.
