Arrival at Gobblebrook

• Arriving into the town of Gobblebrook Tyrael and Ruby made their way to Mesco's Potions. 
• Once there they discover the truth behind the rumors that Mesco has lost his familiars due to an accident while preparing potions beyond his skills. Vennel, the Great Worm, Proctor the Moon Rat, and Chable the Star Imp. All of which had their minds twisted into evil and vanished somewhere into the lands. 
• He told them Proctor could be turned by an Elmorian rose that grows in the local caved
• Vennel the great worm could be tamed by dumping one of Mescos special juices on him once weakened
• Chable however, could be not only the hardest to find, but would need Frostspire to turn him, which can only be found deep in the mountains near Frost Spire peak - a deadly journey to say the least and he doesn't seem to have much hope for what happened to Chable
• Other adventurers in the town fear traveling too deeply into the woods due to a gang of poachers on the rise led by a traitor named Silven who has been robbing and stealing from the locals lately. 
• Meanwhile there is also a "Menace of Gobblebrook" posters everywhere calling for the death of the great Hippo Borne beast they encountered on the river on the way here
• They spoke with Ven Courghammer the blacksmith who also is paying for this beast because he thinks it killed his son, who wandered to the river one night and never returned
• Ven made Ruby some lockpicks and they also shopped at various stores in town
• Hanging out at the Fen Inn they learned a woman named Fara Killvine (an elven exiled princess apparently) passed through Gobblebrook several weeks ago, and was allied with Silven for short time before moving on to Pinerun - most town folk liked her at first, but then realized she was up to no good when she allied with Silven
• Ruby and Tyrael heard of rumors of flashing lights in the North Hollow residential areas to the north and went to investigate at night. While walking through the alleyways a dark portal ripped open clearly controlled by the agents of Cranabus Fork attempting to reach them, but it closed and failed running out of energy it seems. No doubt accessing the power of the Elzar Rune Circles to do it
• Later the next day Ruby and Tyrael headed south into the woods for more clues of adventure and were ambushed by a group of the poachers being talked about in town. They dispatched them rather quickly with Tyraels help of magic, and Ruby's deadly daggers and blades.

Elmorian RPG - Trip to Maldric Sea - (Interlude Session)

Traveling to Maldric Sea

• After the surprise attacks at the docks of Haven Tyrael and Ruby departed on Calvin's ship for a 3 day journey at sea to reach the shores of North Maldric
• During the travel Tyrael Fished quite a bit
• Upon arriving on shore it was clear that 4 other travelers would be joining their journey across the Maldric Pass and then down river to get to Gobblebrook
• Nishol - A mysterious and well equipped hunter and trader of furs - partnered with Gregor Fullum another fur trader
• Gregor Fullum - A chatty, fearless and curious fur trader who carries several magic rings and seems to collect magic items - he found Tyrael and Ruby to be fascinating and wanted to know more about their journey and the items they had for trade
• During the travels on the Maldric Pass road it was mostly quiet and without note. Nishol did some hunting for furs, 
• Gregor and Nishol traded furs to Tyrael and Ruby for some of their magic rings. Apparently in Pinerun if you do not have a fur you could be looked down upon
• Tyrael received a fine white Arctic fur from a Tempo (a arctic beast that roams near Icespire Fort to the north in the Maldric Sea lands) for his Lighting ring
• Ruby got fine Wemic Fur vest for the poverty Curse ring
• On the last day of walking the group encountered what appeared to be a bear, however once Nishol and Gregor attacked it to get its fur, it was discovered it was actually a cub, of a Maldric Grizzly. Large bears that roam these lands but are very rare. It seems it had killed a poacher traveling nearby and was eating. Tyrael and Ruby helped to take the giant beast down and take it's fur
• They arrived at the Gobblebrook pass to get a boat to take down into town. During the ride a huge beast was seen on shore sliding into the water and coming after the boat. It crested the water and attacked! It was a huge Hippo-borne beast with a collar and tag. After numerous spear, arrow, and other attacks Tyrael finally managed to wound it deeply and it slunk back into the river and swam to shore. Attempting to kill it Tyrael casted a lightning bolt at the beast, but it only went deeper into the water after that
